Today i met an 11 year old, who is a caretaker for her 3 siblings - 5,7 and 10.

Her mother was picked up by the police together with her 13 year old brother and 15 year old sister.

Her brother was slashed in a knife attack last week, when he tried to defend her against a man who was sexually assaulting her. He has scars all over his abdominal area.

She works as a garbage collector and makes RM5 a day. Her brother said, with some measure of pride, that on good days he can get up to RM10.

She bundled up the 3 girls on a public bus to visit us - to ask about how her mother was faring in prison, and when she was coming home. Because it was difficult to go out to work when she had to look after 3 children, and they were running out of food.
