The 7

tagged by azuredec, i promised her answers.....

7 things to do before i die

1. To effortlessly sprout Persian poetry on worldly passion (ishq) and Godly passion (sufism)
2. To learn classical belly dancing in Egypt
3. To make the perfect cup of coffee
4. To compile family recipies with my mother in a book with photographs attached for posterity and to have a part of her with me always
5. To run a drop-in centre for troubled teens that actually does something for them
6. To sit on the highest point of a mountain peak that i can ever reach (i probably have to settle for bukit gasing), at dawn, with my biological/adopted child telling him/her about the stupidest things i did in my life. Oh God my clock is ticking.
7. To trek to the K2 base camp (and no higher)

7 things i cannot do

1. lose weight
2. to see a photograph of my gorgeous 1 year old nephew without a silly grin and a huge sigh (he's constantly rolling his rrrrrs now and sounds like a sleazy latino barfly....)
3. go by 2 weeks without arguing with mum
4. go past Baskin Robbins without getting Jamoca Almond Fudge
5. laugh like the sound of tinking bells (as opposed to a loud, guttural, snorty one)
6. watch Akademi Fantasia (the dramas on TV1/2/3 are so much better)
7. drink a glass of water without spilling it all over the front of my baju (ya, can't even manage that sometimes)

7 things that attract me to the opposite sex

1. bad boys who repent for their wicked past and now in search of God and salvation
2. wicked, sexy past but who now embraces a strictly monogamous relationship that reaps sole benefit from naughty days
3. salt of the earth - kindness, compassion and emphathy
4. a driven visionary determined to leave mark on world
5. adventurous, exciting
6. generous to a fault
7. a devoted foodie

no wonder am still single.

7 things that I say most often

1. alamak
2. oh mak
3. amboi
4. do you know what i mean?
5. ye ke?
6. cool
7. yeah, right

oh god i never realised what a blinking idiot i sound like most of the time

7 celebrity crushes

1. james spader
2. robert downey jr
3. kevin spacey
4. denzel washington (Malcolm X, Steve Biko, sigh....)
5. the japanese guy from old soap Oshin (i think his name was Ru-zo?)
6. rano karno (from the 80s Indon movies! anyone remember?)
7. omar sharif

7 seven people I want to do this (kalau nak lah...)

1. inconditus
2. lita
3. diaz
4. muddy
5. The J
6. radnexus

i chuckled in all degrees when you note how you want to learn how to make a good cup of coffee. i had to conjure up recipes when my previous boss bullied me into making his cuppa every morning (i don't know why he picked me...i am a tea drinker for god's sake!)

suffice to say, towards year end, i made coffee to his liking, but i don't recommend it: way too diabetic for any of us.

ps: can't believe you're still single. how is that ever possible?

Hey all

Am deeply touched that there is still some interest in this blog despite the infrequent entries.

Mangolisa am glad to know another RK fan and am envious you actually saw him in the flesh.

Azuradec i know i am in good company with the twinnies hahaha

Inconditus - yes i admit i had him in mind. damn.

Muddy - let me know how you make your perfect cup of coffee! Dan ya - sungguh tragis tetapi benar, saya nggak ada teman spesial...(am just back from Jogja - next blog entry)

Fazu - decidedly it is a loss for one who does not know RK...we shall have a natter about him
