Diet Diary 24/1/05
In a cliche-d Bridget Jonesy sort of way (and yes am overweight singleton), I hereby launch the Diet Diary, to dutifully record all food intake in desperate attempt to regain a waistline.
Today i have started a diet consisting mainly of capati and fruit. The humble staple, the capati, is a dieter's best friend particularly for those who can't do meal replacements or Atkins/starvation diets. It has wholemeal flour and one can keep you full for ages.
I should add that it is best to make your own - the kneading itself will give plenty of arm exercise (check out the biceps of old ladies in gurdwara kitchens). I should also warn that capatis sold in your friendly neighbourhood banana leaf restaurant probably has way too much white flour and ghee.
am
1 glass of warm water with unwaxed organic lemon juice (detox)
2 cups teh sireh (detox and mild laxative - available from PKNS Shah Alam)
1 capati with honey (i need some sugar la)
1 mandarin orange
1/2 papaya
confession: munched on some keropok bawang at 11.30
noon
2 capatis
meat cooked with jintan and coriander (minimum oil)
ulam
2 cups teh sireh
confession: took 1 tiny square of a chocolate bar - coffee cocoa from John Lewis was worth it
pm
3 Hovis biscuits
1 cup lipton tea
1 cup teh sireh
2 capatis
fish curry cooked with tomatoes, fresh coriander and yogurt
salad
1/2 mango
1/2 guava
confession: my tummy feels good and un-bloated but i honestly dont know how long i can keep up with the capatis.

Your diet regime looks good. But am just wondering how long can you keep up with dieting on capatis only?
Would like to share a good advice by a friend of mine, who happens to be a personal trainer - eat your normal every day food but in smaller quantities. Also, try exercising to shed that extra fat and to increase your stamina. (You might also like to consider taking up kickboxing. Good for your waistline and endurance!)
Also, with exercising you definitely won't get insomnia!
ye ke i havent even read dina zaman's blog properly now have to look for the similar bits - point it out to me? am experimenting with different writing styles la no idea it sounded like someone else
thanks for the exercise tip guys haha yes i should get off my ass. Have been running but maybe now should also put up an exercise journal to motivate more movement
